Selective Mutism therapy needs to be executed where the mutism occurs.

That means at school, in church, at the store, in the coffee shop, at friends' homes etc…

I partner with mental health professionals to provide an integrated approach to selective mutism treatment.

My years of hands-on experience taught me how to most effectively transfer and generalize skills from clinic to community where it is critical to obtain positive speaking exposures.

It is my goal to educate adults within an SM child's world on how to achieve successful verbal communications outside of a clinic.

To this end, I train school staff, teachers, psychologists, speech-language therapists, special ed. teachers, church leaders, and parents on how best to interact with a child who has selective mutism in order to lower anxiety and encourage speaking.
